Busch Stadium(R) was affectionately embraced by the fans and it was where St. Louis - and much of the Midwest - spent its summers. After hosting its first game on May 12, 1966, Busch Stadium(R) welcomed six World Series(R) and eight National League Championship Series(R). It was the setting in which some of the game's most celebrated records fell, and the stage for many of the greatest players and personalities in Major League Baseball(R).
